Frequently Asked Question

How did you come up with the name dragonFLY?

The dragonfly represents our philosophy of growth. A dragonfly, by nature, cannot stop moving in order to survive. Likewise, we feel the way to true growth is by continuously improving ourselves. Dragonflies also work together and can adapt to change, both virtues of successful people.

Why should I take a course at dragonFLY and not somewhere else?

We are different in that we take pride in proving not only information that will prepare you for certification tests, but also for success in the field. We encourage discussion, teamwork, and leadership skills. We also make sure our courses are accessible to busy people who cannot take time off during the week to attend classes.

Are you certified?

Absolutely. dragonFLY is a registered provider through the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) and our course titled "Texas All-lines Adjuster Pre-licensing Course" is certified by TDI as well.

Is there any homework?

Yes, there is some homework depending on the course. Homework is designed to reinforce what is learned in class so that you are better prepared to pass the exam, not as punishment.

If I take the course, will I pass the test?

Unfortunately we can’t make that promise. What we can promise is that if you engage in the course, you will have all of the information necessary to pass the certification exam. If you have any questions about the certification exam, we are here to help. With proper preparation you should not have any problems.

What should I do to prepare for the course?

You can prepare for the course by doing any assigned homework as well as mentally preparing for a few days of serious work.

What is a typical class like?

A typical class at dragonFLY consists of a mixture of lecture and discussion. We use energetic instructors in order to keep the class interesting. We know you can’t learn if you’re bored, so we adapt each of our classes to the class dynamic.

What if I have to reschedule?

We keep our classes small so each student can receive the attention they need to succeed. We hope you don’t have to reschedule, but we understand things come up. If you have to reschedule, we ask you to communicate with us so we can find a time that works for everyone.

Who should take courses at dragonFLY?

Anybody interested in working in or learning more about the field of adjusting should take our course at dragonFLY. We offer classes that prepare you for a rewarding career in the insurance industry, not just a job.
